Upcoming college events – taster days and open events 2019/2020

All post-16 education providers (sixth-forms and colleges) are putting alternative arrangements in place for applications, interviews and admissions for September 2020, during the Coronavirus pandemic. As we receive details from the different providers, we will update the information below.

Scarborough UTC Sixth Form Open Event

Scarborough 6Form

Scarborough Sixth Form College are guaranteeing a place for all applicants whatever the outcome of GCSEs. Detailed discussions about the most appropriate courses for students will take palce during their enrolment interview in August.

For students who have not yet had a consultation at the College, the team is aiming to contact them by phone over the coming weeks.

At the moment, they are hoping that the Preview Day on Wednesday 1 July will still go ahead. Applicants can log on to the applicant portal at for updates.

If you have any questions, please email:

Scarborough TEC

If you are booked in for an interview with Scarborough TEC’s Student Recruitment Team, you will now receive a telephone interview instead. Their team will be phoning people between 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

If you have already attended your first interview and are waiting to attend your ‘Showcase’ session, all these are postponed until further notice.

The current situation will NOT jeopardise your place at Scarborough TEC. If you have any questions, the team can be contacted by email:

The Academy Hair & Beauty

For those students who have applied to the Academy through their website, the team are now giving advice/interviews over the phone.

Anyone needing more advice on hair, beauty, barbering and make-up artistry course options including apprenticeships can read the course information on their website, and either apply online or call the Academy.

If you have any questions, please call 07790 845794 or email:
