GEORGE PINDAR SCHOOL IS PART OF

George Pindar students ‘Achieve’ in supportive video

Three students from the George Pindar ‘Achieve’ team have been working with their mentors at North Yorkshire Sport to produce a video, all about their views on isolation during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Jack, Heleena and Lily star in the video below, which takes you through the challenges of isolation and offers some great advice and tips for coping during lockdown.

North Yorkshire Sport are currently running weekly virtual session’s with pupils from George Pindar School, trying to cover programme content they would have covered in their usual Achieve sessions.

The Achieve Life Skills Programme is designed to use sport and activity to inspire young people to create a brighter future for themselves by supporting the development of skills and opportunities in their local area.

The programme aims to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Increase resilience, perseverance and persistence
  • Improve social, physical and emotional well being
